Creating Floral Magic
A Few Facts
01.
I love tea! From a good breakfast tea, to a calming herbal tea, most likely will always have a cuppa on the go and most of the time it has a few leaves floating in it. Certainly a hazard of the job.
02.
Not only do I love my tea but I love a good biscuit to dunk in it. You won’t find any rich teas in my studio! Joking aside, I am a bit of a foodie; firstly, i adore popping to a local café for a nice slice of cake. Secondly, meeting up with family and friends for a good meal out is a top prioity.
03.
Having a meal out is as crazy as it gets for me these days, in other words my partying days are long gone. In all honesty I really don’t mind so much.
04.
I am a devoted mum to 3 beautiful children. I also have an amazing supportive husband who keeps things afloat whilst I’m up and down the country creating beautiful wedding florals. He sometimes gets used for muscle, lifting, and setting up for weddings, above all mainly he likes to hold the fort back home.
05.
At the start of 2023 I finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of re-homing a dog. It came at the perfect time, making a daily walk part of my new routine was on my New Year’s resolutions list. He is a great big softy who loves a cuddle and often pulls me over whilst trying to chase squirrels.06.
My eldest son will sometimes be seen on set ups and clear downs, he is now the sweeping up and tea boy however shows great interest in learning more. Who knows, in a couple of years it may be Sophie O’Keeffe and Co.

The Floral Journey
My journey into flowers started at a young age. I entered a village fate competition aged 10, and won! As the the only child to enter against a host of grown ups, I couldn’t believe it. consequently I embarked on two weeks work experience at the florist located at the top of my road. I loved every moment of it and as a result didn’t want to go back to school!
However although I loved flowers, I didn’t continue with this immediately. I decided to try a whole host of other occupations first, from a travel agent to a bank teller but nothing felt right.
That is to say, It was then I knew I had to pursue my love of flowers.

Wonderful Weddings & Events
Working in a host of local florist shops and for some established florists in London and across the UK, I honed my skills on the job as well as at college. As a result I was fortunate enough to design flowers for weddings and events throughout the UK and Europe.
After my children came along, I knew I wanted to follow my flower passion but with my true love of weddings and events becoming my speciality. That’s when it was time to go solo and although it’s been a steep learning curve I absolutely love my job and above all don’t think I’ll ever be far away from a flower.

“Sophie was an absolute dream! Our venue looked stunning with all of the flower arrangements she provided, along with buttonholes and bouquets. It was more than i could have of asked for. I advised her on the colours I wanted for our big day and she ran with this and did the most amazing job. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”
